1. Establish an independent workspace in your home
You may already have an office in your home, a room, part of the garage, a corner of your bedroom, or some other area that is away from the noise and distractions of household activities.
The important thing is to have a work area that you can use strictly for your business where your papers and equipment are safe and will not be used for other purposes (for example, out of reach of children). You can also have the privacy you need to concentrate on work and deal with your customers.
2. Time Management
A time management strategy is to keep all the right materials in the workspace. This may sound simple, but an important element of success is having easy access to the tools, materials and equipment you need when you need them.
So you do not waste time trying to find things and distracts you with the search.
3. Define a work schedule
The next key to starting a successful business is defining the days and hours that you are going to work. One of the reasons many people choose to have a home-based business is because a traditional job in which they have to meet the nine-to-five schedule does not give them the flexibility they need to cope with life situations or home.
But it is necessary to establish a work schedule to keep you productive and responsible. So you have to decide what hours will work best for you. You also have to decide if you need to travel in order to market your products or services.
4. Develop a step-by-step action plan
One of the most common mistakes is getting caught up in action without having made plans first. In other words, you can confuse “being busy” with being productive.
Set your goals and a timeline that you would like to meet.
Then write a step-by-step action plan. If you dive and start doing random things, you will not be so efficient.
One of the most important keys to a successful start-up is the ability to make connections with other people. It is one of the biggest challenges you will face is finding customers to locate your product or business opportunity.

Open a different bank account for your business. When you can afford it, get a separate phone line for your business along with an answering machine.
Gets professional marketing materials! Dress up accordingly.
Always be courteous and pleasant during business development even when people are not.
You must be someone with whom people want to do business and enjoy talking.
7. Automate your business as much as possible
I know you just started. By now you can probably handle the whole business personally. But it will not work in the future when your business starts to grow.
It is best to start researching now the automated systems available in order to free up your time in the future and be able to handle your accounts, clients and business partners.
